You know, honestly, part of me was. Part of me wanted to look him right in the face and ask, “Is this the time during which you tell me about being married?” I even teed it up for him! I asked if he had ever been married and I looked him right in the eye when I asked. He looked me right in the face and lied.

I think a big part of it was seeing if someone was actually capable of that level of deceit. It was fascinating with a horrible way. It’s like you know that there are people that are bad out there in the world. To intentionally sit down to coffee with one of them was interesting to say the least.
