Wonderful response. I think the difference is that corporate would not dare to insist or require a woman to wear a long skirt or dress. That would be understood as inappropriate and gender-based. I think that companies need to get out of the practice of mandating what employees wear if the attire is not part of the function of their job. A wonderful woman just responded about the uniform for target. She had mentioned that she thought I was speaking disparagingly. That was not my intention. But, I understand that movement and mobility might be paramount in determining what to wear. So, target requiring a Uniforme makes sense corporate America, not so much.
