The Surprising Reality of Gold Digging

There is nothing I love less than a tired, worn-out trope that actually holds no water but seems to get thrown around willy-nilly, mainly by very angry white dudes.

Usually, the trope is steeped in misogyny and does nothing more than feed a narrative that men solidly buy into that women are horrible creatures that exist on the earth merely to bring forth the downfall of men. Examples include: the crazy ex-girlfriend, the nagging wife, the gold digger.

However, if there is one thing that brings me exceptional joy, it’s debunking these tropes because I have learned over the years that much of what people emphatically preach as truth is, in actuality, not true.

As you may know, I have many things to say about singlehood and dating. I write and speak about it frequently.
