Thank you, Jordan. I think you misunderstand. Sensitivity is not synonymous with sadness. You are absolutely right that not everything is worth crying over.

I am not saying sensitive people feel the same sadness if someone dies as if there is a sad commercial. There are, without a doubt, varying levels of sadness.

Sensitive people feel immense joy, as well. Because we’re…sensitive to it. We’re open to it. We find joy in simple things others may just pass right by. We take little for granted that way. Speaking of, a kind gesture makes us feel exceptionally grateful.

But yes, I have very sensitive friends that will see an abused animal and feel absolutely crushed by it. They will visit with a friend experiencing turmoil and feel some of that pain. We are, for sure, the sympathy criers in the world. We’re also the first people you want to call when something amazing happens because the party on your behalf that ensues is going to be a blast!
