So this was in my Medium digest today. I went right to it as someone that has been mansplained to many times. I hate it.

However, I don’t think it’s mansplaining. At all. He is not explaining anything.

He is making an observation that he says he “thinks” you’re at an impasse. Thinking is not knowing. I see it as acknowledging of an assumption. He wasn’t telling you how something is, he’s telling you how he feels about it and what he thinks about it. Just as this is my opinion.

However, you did just write an article explaining his words to everyone with a lettered list. And in a response tweet to him, a man who has written for Medium, you explain how Medium works and that “all Medium is, is a platform. A place to hold your work.” I think he knows that.
