Single Women’s Happiness Is a Real Thing

Refusals of acceptance of this fact do not change it.

I am a happy, single woman. I shout this from rooftops because I have earned that right. People have told me that happy exudes from me. It’s visible. It creates energy. These are people who know me well and see what I’ve done to build a joyful life even though I have no partner to share in or help create this joy.

Men of the internet, who have never met me, or the dozens of other single women I know that are blissful, simply refuse to believe that there is joy in my life. It simply cannot be true, and they have no problem telling me this.

Even if a man does believe for five minutes that I am deeply happy living life on my own accord and by myself, he must point out that this is short-lived and that “reality” is going to set in when I am destitute and sharing cat food with my eight cats to live my miserable solitary life.

Regardless of how many men dig their heels in and deny that women could be happy single (read: without them), there is plenty of data to support the idea that single women are happier than single men.
