Purchasing Things in Pairs Is My Infinite Hope
I’m the owner of lots of unnecessary duplicate items.
Iam camping and sitting in one of those reclining gravity chairs. I’ve owned it for a while, and it has ventured out with me several times. It has a sister chair that sits in storage. I only need one for my trip.
The tag in the back is flapping in the wind and distracting me from my reading. I reach behind me and tug at it to tear it off. As I place it in the cup holder on the side, I wonder if this is the same chair I used last year.
These things don’t last forever, and I wonder if it’s better to keep using one until it wears out or the alternate using both. With the tag gone, at least now I’ll know which one is which.
Never does it occur to me that I would use two of them at the same time. It seems I’ve resigned myself that they’re designed for individual use, not to be used as a pair as originally intended when I bought them.
I got them over a year ago, shortly after I bought my camper. I bought two because I had a boyfriend and I wanted him to come with me. Little did I know that a month later, I would no longer need two.
