Oh yes. Every time I write about being a strong, independent woman who is not reliant on a man for anything, men simply cannot take the idea that what they have been told their whole lives is the #1 thing they bring to the table (financial stability) is no longer needed. They just can’t. So they routinely comment that by the time I’m 70 I’m gonna get what’s coming to me and be on the streets with a shopping cart. They tell me my only saving grace is going to be getting myself a husband. And, also, I am, apparently, not getting any younger, so time is of the essence.
