Oh, Timothy. There is a lot of unpack here.

1) No one said high standards have to come with physical attributes. There is a great misconception that men who don't look like Matthew McConaughey get passed over. Trust me when I say that is unilaterally untrue. I am a woman and know a shit ton of women. I can speak as an authority here.

2) A man who is all smiles all the time and has no complaints is not emotionally intelligent. Hard stop. Emotional intelligence allows us to acknowledge, understand, process, and let go of feelings. Good and bad. No woman wants a man who fakes being happy all the time.

3) We don't need rich men. We want men you understand the basic principles of finances. This shows us he is mature enough to take care of himself.

4) Hell yes to the kind and compassionate while being strong when necessary. We want neither a bully, nor a doormat.

All of these traits can be grown and developed. Resigning oneself to being "meh" because you just don't care enough to do any kind of self improvement is not attractive. THAT is why the guy who lacks any kind of charisma or self awareness gets passed over.
