Oh, do it! When I went to see Margo Price last year at the same place I saw Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, one of the opening acts was a guy I fell in LOVE with. Loved him. I had no idea who he was. His music was just melodic and goofy and real. He had kicked off his shoes to perform. I knew this because I was six feet away from him. Turns out, it was Micah Nelson, Willie’s son and Lucas’s kid brother.

When Margo Price finished her set she came down into the audience. I was wearing an Amanda Shires shirt. They’ve played together a lot. She told me my shirt was bad ass and hugged me for it.

I saw Shooter Jennings in the same tiny venue I saw American Aquarium. His mom, Jessi Colter (Waylon’s widow) walked right in front of me. Holy crap. Never would have had that happen at a stadium show. Amazing moments. Do it. Spend the $15 for the ticket…
