Just to clarify:

“ Absolutely true. But the same can be said of women! So, what’s your point?”

My point is that 1 in 6 men are not victims of rape or attempted rape by a woman. The end result of “women behaving poor” is not nearly as common nor is it as life or safety threatening to men.

“ Words like mansplain are used to demean and stifle discussion. When you ask “him” to use small words it is a reflection on your inability to understand multisyllabic words. Freud thanks you.”

I was being sarcastic. And mansplaining is used to demean and stifle discussion. Using the word is calling it out.

“ True enough, but the same is true of men. When you make statements like this, it feels like you are blaming males. There is no blame involved here! Advertisers do what they do and we can buy their BS or ignore it. Nobody can brainwash another. Each brain has a gatekeeper. Use it.”

It’s not that simple. I’ll leave it at that.

Thank for reading. I still don’t think you read the suggested pieces but that’s okay. I’m glad we see humanity in each other. In my writing, I have sympathized with the good guy and tried to see the world from his eyes. The cat caller, gender discriminator, sexual assaulter, or mansplainer? I don’t care what the world looks like from his eyes.
