Interesting. I had this conversation with a friend last night who has never been married. This year saw the end of her six-year-long relationship. My marriage was five years. I don’t think that my relationship was any more or less important than hers because I had a legal document and she didn’t.

I know a lot of people who spend years and years in committed relationships. I think they’re well trained for another one. Just something to consider.
