I understand that Medium does have a system in place where, if they are routinely passing on a writer’s stories for curation, they may stop reviewing them due to volume. It doesn’t feel good but I understand their thinking.

Curation does help but is not the only path. I have had articles not curated and still do very well. I have had curated article that have had an underwhelming response. I think publications are a good way for you to grow your audience. The audience engagement is key. Grow the loyal following.

I have heard people have emailed Medium to have them reconsider including them in curation opportunities but I would only recommend that after really growing your writing and taking advantage of peer editing as much as possible to learn how to grow.
