I think the commercials are VASTLY different. In the Gillette ad, there are two sides to the coin — the good behavior and the bad behavior. In the ads in my piece there is one side. And the intent was subversive. These ads were intended to repress women and keep them at a status below their husbands. No one is trying to shove men at a status below anyone else.
