I think our brains will become highly trained in being Clickbait filters. I cannot stand Clickbait titles. If I read one more “I Did X for X Number of Days. Here’s What Happened” post, I’m going postal.
I think what happens, is that the overuse of Clickbait titles makes us skeptical. I’ve become and trusting that what’s inside the ad or the article is anything I need to know.
Now,I have written humorous articles with intentionally clickbait headlines (How to Be An Asshole in Three Easy Steps). But, I have written headlines and knowing that they probably will not get a wide readership. Still, rewriting the headline for the masses seems disingenuous.
