I love how robust this conversation became! I’m just sad I was on vacation and I’m late to the game.

I think the issue that I’m having and where I struggle with part of your perspective, Ash, is that is seems there is assumption that it was a broad huge statement about all men. A stereotyping. I think stereotyping is a fine line. Listing poor behaviors and noting them as unacceptable is not, to me, stereotyping. It’s merely acknowledging behaviors that actually do exist.

I think you did hit on something that I feel is important to note. Everyone feels the need to label everything. Right, wrong. Right, left. Feminist, Chauvinist. We have to fit everything into a box and I don’t think commercial fits in a box.

After many days of thinking about it. I think most women say one thing that was desperately needed. Support. We need support.
