I fully agree with you. And yes, there are many more examples of female privilege than I noted. And, frankly, I’m really sick and tired of men attacking me for pointing out flaws in men’s logic while being an open minded person willing to admit female privilege. These are the people that do not get it whatsoever and I have no time for that.
Men can get all up in arms over women denying female privilege but yelling at me about it is misplaced.
I wrote a piece about male privilege. Plain and simple. It was not an attack on men. It was not shaming men for having privilege. It was not asking men to forgo that privilege. It was an attempt to help them understand that we DON’T have that same general feeling of safety.
I agree that the conversation needs to happen. Sadly, I have been discouraged by the misogynistic assholes who have gone on the attack. Who refuse to try and understand the world from a woman’s point of view without saying, “But, but, but… what about ME?!”
Your example, as I mentioned, are sound. But, you’re damn straight I’m going to challenge anyone who shows up in my house and notes nonsense as a counterargument.
