I dated a guy who had four daughters. He was divorced and had been married for 22 years. They got married when his wife was 19 years old. Having four girls in the span of 7 years, she ran the house and took care of the kids. She never worked. He supported the house financially. When they got divorced, his wife was 41 and had NO work experience and NO education. He paid $2700 a month alimony.

He at least understood that all of the decisions they made while married were joint decisions. He could have stayed home and took care of the kids for 22 years...
