Freedom is Not Running Yourself into the Ground

You know your limits and your boundaries, no one else.

Stop. Breathe. Look at me. I mean it. We need to talk about your sleep patterns. Also, your anxiety. Your gut health isn’t so hot and you could probably use a probiotic. When was the last time you went for a walk? Not a hike. Not a run. Just walked out your door and wandered aimlessly.

How do I know all this? Because anyone who is going to click on an article that mentions anything about running themselves into the ground is working too hard and they know it. It simply might not have registered until they read the words. They also may not want to admit it.

I am concerned about you. Why? Because I see a lot of damaging advice being thrown around and I’m terrified people are actually following it. Scratch that. I know people are following it. As an empath, it makes me want to curl up in the fetal position and just rock back and forth on your behalf.

The advice is geared to “help” you be successful by piling on expectations, encouraging you to overextend yourself, and making you feel like toxic behaviors are normal. The main message: you are not enough.

There is one thing of which I am certain: anyone telling you that you are not doing enough or that you’re not hustling…
